Stark County Chapter Committees
Committees The Service Team assumes overall responsibility for the ministry and keeps it faithful to the vision and purposes of Magnificat.
The Music Ministry is vital ministry. Good music can add so much to everyone's participation and enjoyment of the occasion.
The Ministries of Hospitality include Hostesses and Greeters. These ministries are key to the success of a Magnificat event. Greeters assist at the entrance and help guests with tickets and coats. They are sensitive to newcomers and special guests. Hostesses are the heart of the ministry. A hostess is assigned to each table, and she greets guests as they arrive. The effectiveness of the Magnificat ministry in reaching out to our guests depends largely on the hostess. The "welcome" they extend can do much to dispose a guest to respond to the Lord throughout the meal
The Prayer Ministries include Intercessory Prayer and Prayer Teams. The members of the Intercessory Prayer committee need to be women of prayer who will commit themselves to praying for the Magnfiicat ministry. This group meets monthly to pray for Magnificat and the needs of the Church. The primary function of the Prayer Teams are to be available following the meal to pray with women who desire prayer.
The Clerical Committee is responsible for maintaining a current mailing list and for composing the flyers for the upcoming events. This committee needs women who have computer skills. Most forms are already in existence and merely require updating for each event.
The Publicity Committee is responsible for "spreading the Good News" of an upcoming event. The Publicity Committee chairwoman does this by sending out Public Service Announcements to local newspapers and to each church parish in the Diocese. The chairwoman also provides information (flyers , tickets, and posters) to Parish Contacts who make sure that the information about the upcoming event is placed in their church bulletins.
The Decorations Committee is responsible for making sure the environment is properly decorated with table decor on every table and that the Magnificat banner is displayed at each meal. The Decorations Committee has the responsibility of storing the decorations.
